To be an effective videographer, you should tell us where this was taken, what is the scientific name of this plant, what kind of soil it thrives at, how to plant and care for it, and lastly how to eat this fruit.

There seems to be a theme here. I get the fruit must be tasty but I will not spend more than a dollar on a damn apple and certainly no more than 6-8 dollars for a pineapple/anana. Only time that strawberries should be expensive is valentines day when they sell nice big ones for gifts.

    (March 21, 2018 - 3:39 pm)

For the people who doesn't understand why it can be so extremely expensive, I believe the price listed in the video is not the actual retail price. It's called seri price. Seri is a method of auction in Japanese food market. All markets have a Seri day, when all the buyers are willing to auction the target with a ridiculously high price to show their appreciation to the sellers, as a simple of thanks to the sellers for the good supply year around. That price is Seri price. Although these fruits are actually expensive on market, but the seri price can be 10 times or even 100 times more expansive than average market price.

They charged too much because Japanese people are willing to buy anything if you make them believe the fruits is special. They are simply gullible and they are superstitious. Well good for business……lol.

When I lived in rural Thailand, a monk told me that the little Buddha fruits grow like this naturally because the tree was blessed by a holy man. The unbelievably uneducated locals (my mother in law sorry to say) actually believe him. I asked him if it was because they are grown in a mold and not magic horticulture. This guy was outraged and indignant that I dared question him. My wife later told me that different watts (Buddhist temples) make money from parishionersย in this way and compete with other nearby watts for the lions share of money. So much for though shalt not lie, ha ha.

so what you're trying to tell me is that 21$ each is less expensive than 80$ for 6?
