Can you use banana skins dried and blended as fertilizer please. My tree is about four feet tall and is now three yrs old and has never bared fruit. It's winter now and all leaves have dropped but because it's been quite warm so far… South east UK it sprouted at the ends as though it was going to sprout more leaves. I was told to cut it back but I'm loath to do that as I'm unsure and don't want to harm it. It's incredibley beautiful in the spring/summer lush green leaves just fruitless in Summer. It's in a big pot and very healthy though it's got lots of small shoots at the bottom this yr which I might cut off. I don't know when it's best to do this though. I'd appreciate your help if poss.
It has two main branches going up and one has one long branch coming off with three smaller shoots on it and the other branch is the same but with two main branches coming off it with three shoots growing off each of those. Not sure if that helps any lol. Thank you in advance 😊

Does this chilling hour apply to fruit trees in tropical weather?
