I live in Hawai'i and we from time to time get plants starting and have been fortunate to have Papaya and apple banana's just start thanks to our birds. but I noticed a small Hawaiian supreme seedling growing next to my Kalamansi Lime tree and I am worried it's to close to keep it there. Would you recommend transplanting to a large pot and I'd don't know if I want to have it planted in my yard as of yet, or should I Take cuttings and propagate starters then grow from there. or does this technique only work with mature trees. mahalo for your advice.

How soon after placing in potting medium do you water. And then how frequently do you water after that?

I have guava tree of the same pink color and sweet taste here in India. I thought of doing air layering but now will also try by propagating using cuttings. How many days it takes for root initiation?

They would do as well rooted in 100% perlite. Maybe better.

I have the strawberry guava – not long in the ground, along with a feijoa. I also have a grafted soursop tree and avocado tree planted 3 weeks ago – All loving Queensland soil. All bought from Daleys – they are thriving in the early weeks, hopefully will have a long and happy life here. Thanks for the informative video.

    G'day!
Unlike you lucky fellas living in a subtropical region of Oz, I live in not so tropical England, which means that I have to grow my subtropical and tropical fruit plants in containers, and move them indoors or outdoors depending on the time of year.
Are seed-propagated guava cultivars as productive in containers as those grown from cuttings or other vegetative means of propagation? Are you familiar with a guava cultivar called "Stone Ruby"? It has pink flesh and could be genetically very similar to the Hawaiian variety you speak of in your video. I was wondering if these different named guava cultivars ("Stone Ruby", "Ruby Supreme", "Pink Supreme", etc) are basically the same pink-fleshed guava but with different names according to where they were grown?
