We'd be blessed in the north east if we got some damn rain. I've seen I credible growth in tomatoes during these past two weeks of intense heat

WOW! it's grown TONS since the 1st garden vid … but dude – you really should consider Stingy Nettle: leaves for allergies & roots for testosterone & prostrate … they say the flower-seeds help w/adrenal fatigue & thyroid (but I've yet to see it)

First time watching one of your garden videos, so I apologize if you've covered this already. However, beets and carrots do better with the 5-10-10 instead of the 2-4-1 or 2-3-1. The extra phosphorus and potassium encourage root growth (which is necessary for hardy root veggies) and the nitrogen encourages leaf growth, so more leaves to gather that precious sunlight.

Also, want me to fly out to Vermont and install a drip system for you? Frees up time to weed that garden 🙂

    Love it!
Here in mountainous Israel we have a high sun (about 80 degrees during noon), and things are shooting up. I really envy your cooler climate though. Have fun growing, and thank you for your great commentary!

"Strawberried rhubarb "? Is that a particular plant or you just plant the strawberries and rhubarb together?

It's fine that the cabbage is going slowly….it's a cooler weather plant. I hope they don't bolt during the heatwave. They should set up in August & hopefully be ready for harvest in September, I believe. I'm fortunate in that I have an amazing growing season where I'm at. Usually. I'll try to get broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and cabbage going in February, and I'll get a heat wave in April, and the plants will bolt before I can harvest. The good news is that the flowers are really tasty in a salad.

Wow! It's coming along so well! I can't wait till I have room to grow a few corn, onion, & tomatoes. Love the chamomile, it's very pretty as just a flower. I may try some as decorative & some for tea.

Are you just hanging your herbs to dry? I have a bunch of sage, thyme and oregano I don't know what to do with.

This episode is making crave a garden salad so bad right now. I love vegetables

I'm of the mind that, "if you can't eat it, why grow it?" I mean, sure. Some things look great; beautiful even. But why not use the space for more vegetables or herbs?

I dunno. Maybe it's just the way I was raised. My family's always been huge on vegetable gardens.

I planted onions with my squash, tomatoes, and kale. So far it’s keeping squash borers and leaf eating caterpillars away.
