hi, i am new in container gardening. I am growing tomato indetermined type which is now 4'5 feet tall and start flowering and setting fruits. all of my plants are in inside the house . so there is no problem of cold temperature at all now. but the main problem is about height of my tomato plant, because they are indetermined they can grow very tall, which is a problem . i found some infomration about topping off tomato plant to maintain height of plant. is it true? is it bad effect of my plant? because my plant have alot of flowers ….. please help … also what is the least small pot size i can use to to grow indetermined tomato. right now they are in 10 liter pot with two stems… and working very well…..please tell me

Newbie gardener here. I followed the ubiquitous advice to seed 3 or so per cell. I ended up with 3x more plants than I was prepared for, as most of the seeds germinated. I euthanized the few runts … there weren't very many which were clearly inferior. How to choose between visually equivalent plantlets? So, I carefully separated them, transplanted them outdoors, and as they grew and became crowded there, started re-transplanting them all over my yard. If they all continue to do as well as they have so far I'm going to have more tomatoes than I can handle. I might have to throw some of them at my redneck neighbors.

If I grow tomato plants in a cup and it grew the plant but hasn't made a tomato, do I have to take it out of the cup and plant it in the ground instead?

You can just get cherry tomato, or any tomato slices and plant it in fresh soil about half an inch in the ground or one inch. Then, just water it slightly everyday.
