Reminds me of Hugelkultur container gardening. Nice. I use this method in ground and in containers.

i was just wondering if I could compost in place with leafy greens like kale and lettuce! this is the answer. I am making garden beds and buried kichen scraps and leaves and sticks under the soil. I figure they will break down and nourish the plants. adding already broken down compost and topsoil mixed together so the seeds have a good start right away. I am trying to direct seed in the garden so wont be using wood chips, but leaves as mulch. thank for information

I do have a question. I hear your area has water rationing? Is this true . How do you handle that ?

I have an old metal bathtub that I am going to drag out to my garden and do this composting in place and plants like you have done here. I will just leave the drain open with a screen over it in hopes to keep it from plugging off. I do have woodchips. I save all of my coffee grounds and tea bags with what little kitchen scraps we have in the red plastic folgers containers. I have so many I can cut the bottoms off from those to plant in.

    Hey Robbie hon,
I sure hope you have anything new ideas on how to get rid of fungus knats!!!
Hon I was told they were fruit flies and harmless lol. So not so!!!
The large eat the new growth on the roots of the plants.

Whew each knat lays 250 eggs each! I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide and dish soap together but first by themselves!!
My biggest draw back is they love compost!! Yikes

Your plants must be so happy to get all this nutrition.. now you just have to wait for a good harvest

Do you cover your containers to deter critters from digging into your compost?

You're stressing your plant's roots putting them in dry soil it works better to put water in the hole. Glad you laid the water to them at the end of the video. But in my experience put water in the hole before putting the plant in the plants do well. but I quess you have good results anyway.

You need to do something with that leggie spiny plant? You have let it go to a bad condition where it is no longer good for eating anf best now let it go to seed?

If you have a massive trunk?? Your not eating eat> Or are you not pruning it or are you letting it go to seed?

I’ve been composting in place next to my lemon tree and it works!!🤗 there’s so many new leaves and buds growing now. This poor tree was almost going to get thrown out if it didn’t shape up. I might get lemons after waiting two years of no growth. Thanks for your videos

Do you ever grow from seed or just buy commercially? Are there drainage holes in the white container? Those brassicas might need a bit less California sun, even in winter since it's so hot now. Oh, and do you ever use 'dirty' water or just from the hose? Lots of questions huh?

I am enjoying your videos. Unfortunately, your camera stops after a few minutes. Only the audio is on. I don't know if you are aware of this or not !

Love all the bird sounds in the background 😊. That compost probably turns into pure worm castings. Can’t get better than that!
