Did u find when it was like a year old the plant had thirns? I germinated seeds from a lime tree i got limes from. It gre about 15-20 inches high and it has thorns. No fruit. Is that normal?

Key limes are ideal to make delicious natural flavored key lime pie.

Though I admire the key lime's dwarf nature, I find Persian limes to be indispensable in the backyard.  The fruit are completely seedless, larger, thin skinned, more juice and the flavor is incredible.-Sour-bitter sweet when allowed to fully ripen on tree.  Also more coldy hardy for me in California. Get one if you don't have one yet!

On the tags it says dont let it get below 32, i keep mine in the green house in winter , but most citrus are cheap, if it dies i would put a apple or pear in its place they can handle cold very well, and you can buy one already fruiting for 20 -30 buck at walmart or lowes
