As a native, we used to think Keukenhof was very kitsch but on visiting with tourists one gets enthused by the vibrancy and we love it!

The Netherlands were mostly swamps a thousand years ago. So the medieval Dutch drained swamps (and are still pumping to this day) and built their houses on the drained land by way of hammering wooden poles in the ground to strenghten the soil. But continuous draining will mean that the land will subside and sink a bit. Hence the wonky houses.

Great video Emma (and also the previous ones – opps, sorry not got round to commenting on those yet) – that's a really fantastic display of colour in these gardens, and the steppin stones looked a lot of fun ! Now I believe the music (as remixed by me in MiXmas #10 / 2018 … #313daysUntilMiXmas2020) is 🎢 "Coldplay – Viva La Vida" 🎢 … am I right, or am I right πŸ˜‰ Another big thumbs-up from us. Best Regards, Axel.

What a stunning place though extremely busy. After watching so many of your videos now I felt you could walk on water and this video proves it. 🀣🀣 Holland really is turning into a fascinating place to visit.
