Do you sell your food items. Since you make quite a bit of one item like the canes that gives you alot of cuttings. Do you do miniature shows? Do you have doll houses that you could show to us. Do you also make your own dollhouse dolls ?

why not cut the rest of the long green and translucent combination and let it just form one circle around the white middle piece? now the kiwi's got some mismatched seeds!

to the people who cant do this: you could just cut circles from green foam and use colored pens for the black and white and/or the brown.

@GymnasticsStarter247 You can always try it on a smaller scale. Just stick your cane in the refrigerator for an hour before slicing so the colors don't smear.

Wow. I never would have thought someone did this miniature pretend fruit. That's kind of amazing. I've seen Japanese pretend food and this is it in miniature.

@missmileycyrusfan123 I wouldn't say it's easy… it takes A LOT of practice. But it's lot of fun. Some walmarts have a beginner clay pack… but that's it.

@sequoiatigers321 This is probably the most intense cane I've ever made. If you made it in an hour your first time… you are doing great!

@ThePattyShow It's polymer clay and yes, it is at Michaels. Brand names are Sculpey, Fimo, and Premo.

@iwantapie101 You may have. We used to have a cat. It was wild and would run across the house and attack Katherine and I. So we gave it to some people without children.

@TeenPranksters I trade my 5 year old little girl for the "food" she makes. Some of it goes into my dollhouse though.

    (September 21, 2018 - 4:35 am)

@trickyman98 Once I put the slices on a cake, or whatever I'm doing with them, I seal them to it with Triple Thick glaze by Deco Art that I get at Hobby Lobby.

    GardenOfImagination

    (September 21, 2018 - 4:35 am)

@rika0of0thunder If you stick the canes in the refrigerator before slicing, it really helps them hold their shape. Just make sure they are the right size before making them cold. They roll better warm.

I always wondered how they got those tiny little seeds in there!
I'm gonna spend the next few days making like, 50 kiwis and 5000 kiwi slices πŸ˜€

The number of steps you did for this is impressive! In the Chinese variety stores near me they have tiny 1/12 scale fruit slices as nail art supplies. Only $2 for a whole HEAP of different fruit slices. And those same stores sell tiny glass bottles like you get from Hobby Lobby, only filled with lots of tiny beady marbles like you use for foam. But your tutorial is excellent because I could make them in my preferred 1/6 scale, and make the fruit halves. Greetings from a Kiwi (from New Zealand)!
