Come to Texas and install it that easy and see how many warps and bows you have while its hot and then in the cool mornings you have perfectly straight border. You make it look easy but it aint so easy in 100 plus heat.

I purchased and travelled 100 miles return to fetch this stuff today after he sent me a free sample in the post. (2mm heavy duty), he is a proper Gentleman to deal with and the product is the best I've seen for lawn edging, it really is that god, this bloke should be a millionaire, every garden centre should stock this stuff instead of the crap garden centres try to palm off on you, brilliant product

no need for stakes inmost cases, but if one side of the edging is much lower, for example on a slope or when using the material for raised beds, than it is really easy to use wooden peg and screw the edging to the peg with electric screw driver. I did it many times it looks neat and tidy and takes seconds to do- all needed is electric screw driver and the screws ( and wooden peg of course) .

There are several edgings similar to our that are about 4-5 inches deep, so they also supplied with stakes to stick them in the ground. we prefer to supply 6 inches edging- and than it is enough to hold it in the ground for most cases.
If the level in one of the sides is very low- 3-4 inches lower than the other sides than you must secure it with stakes.
we sometimes use plastic stakes- and screw the edging into it- if really needed.

I have some edging like this, and one the installiation instructions they say to use little metal stakes to secure the edging..do you have to use them? I see alot of people doing it this way without the stakes? is it ok?
