You should put them in seperate pots so when they get bigger there will be more space for them to grow

The way you handle your seedlings I'm surprised that they survive at all.

I started growing a green apple tree from a seedling. right now, he's outside, and pretty dry looking. obvious answer is to water, but is there anything else to help?

I have grown an apple tree and pear tree from seed. Started indoors late winter and planted outside in spring. The apple tree was in the ground over winter and is about 2 feet tall now and the pear tree was started late this winter and is just about a foot tall, it is also planted outside.   I intend to use these as my root stock, when shud I be grafting the new scion.  It is mid/late July now.  This is my first go at this.

Everytime I see land on the side of the freeway I think about how all that land could be used to grow fruit trees. 🙂 What is wrong with society?

What method did you do to plant the apple seeds. I just put my apple seeds in the soil and haven't sprouted yet.

How long until they start to produce fruit? I planted a seed I think about two years ago and my tree is probably 2.5 feet tall

thanks for the info. love your attitude on using birds to spread the word so to speak! I'm from the 209 area, and you know we love our trees! you remind me of Elzeard Bouffier, the main character in "The man who planted trees" a story by Michael McCurdy. spot on video thankyou.

They, most certainly, will not produce fuji apples.  Only about 1 in 10000 are really something good.  I grow many from seeds, I have around 27 that I started just this year, but after a year or so, I will graft them to something edible.  I suggest you plan to do the same.

now that they this big best thing to do is plant in their own pot or ground space.
