Very Beautiful, clean & fine lawn!! I'll try to do this way. I hope I have the same strength as you have. God bless you for showing this.

Best edging video ever – I am going to have a go myself tomorrow! Technique is much better than using dumb edging spade I bought.

now that you clean that edge can I plant New Guinea right up front. Like so when they grow it has an overflow to that edge. If that makes since.. Im doing this in my front yard

Connor, not sure if you've ever looked into this https://youtu.be/M5kZdQloGSE but thought it would be much easier than this method. Your beds look amazing but I just purchased one and used it. Its so easy to keep your bed edges clean

Hi there we have long weedy grass I think it's called kikuyu here in New Zealand and it grows through our garden beds. Any tips on how to get rid of that kind of grass, that just grows through the lawn and spreads everywhere? Also, how to stop it sending rhizomes into the garden beds? Thanks a million!

What kind/brand is your shovel? I have not had any success in finding one that is similar!

Man…I love the technique, but I can't help but wonder how it looks after a fresh mow. At my place, the valley where you cleared all the dirt from would get full of grass clippings. Two days later, its a mess of dead brown grass clippings. I hate it, but don't know what to do about it.

Looks really nice! Just curious, if you do this a few times a year, do you find that your beds get larger and larger every year, or do they "grow in" enough from the grass that they don't tend to creep out bigger each time you edge them? All the best from Canada; the land of no good legal weed control products 🙁

Connor, that's a great tip for a crisp edge. One question – As you are using your spade shovel do you find that you are taking an extra inch of your lawn every time you sculpt the edge of your beds? It kind of looked that way to me as you were demonstrating your technique.

Thanks for the vid. Is-it possible to know how deep you recommend to edge the beds ? Thanks

dumb question. What do you do about lawn clipping that fall into the mulch when you trim?

Looks great, do you have a link to that shovel on amazon. My local big box doesn’t have.

Thanks, I have seen this way of edging before and liked it a lot. But I have not seen how it was done, going to try this on my lawn. Thank you!!

Personally I would just put down a strong and green metal edge and use my time and energy on other things.

Hey man, great videos! I’m new to your channel and look forward to watching what you put out there especially with those reels. Ha, I think I’ve watched all of Hane’s.
I’m working with a much smaller yard… and budget so I have a manual 6 blade reel that gets me by pretty well.

    (June 2, 2020 - 1:32 pm)

Those are some ultra clean edges! Great technique for a homeowner, especially since an edger is hard to get it to be as smooth as that or as deep of a lip down. Thanks for sharing!
