Thank you for this video. Iโ€™m in Delaware and after watching this video, Iโ€™m going to use this set up to start my seeds this weekend. I will record everything and give you credit, if thatโ€™s ok. This will be my first time starting seeds indoors. After finding this video I feel more confident.

Fantastic! This light box solves how to get enough light for indoor starts & how to protect the ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฑ from the family ๐Ÿฑ. CaliKim credited your light box idea in her seed starting video. ๐Ÿ™‚

I really appreciate how you do your videos…you are direct and to the point with all the info one would need to plant from start to finish and of course everything in between! I'm so glad you get to start fresh in your new home and for taking us all through another fabulous year of planting! Thanks so much! ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿ†๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅ’ SO EXCITED!!!

Great video! Iโ€™m looking at expanding my grow room. I have found a LED, shop light that is 6500K with 5200 lumens and 42 watts. What are your thoughts on, distance from the seedlings, how many hours on etc etc? Thank you for all your videos. I learn something each time I watch one.

Love the updated video! I did one using a cardboard box and Iโ€™m going to want to make one like this when that one brakes down but itโ€™s lasting forever! And very much appreciate your explanations about the lights! Good, quick details that are easy to understand! Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚
(I accidentally put this comment on the next video so deleted it and brought it here… hahaha)

I wonder if you have to cut the tops? If the topics clear and you use the littler…led lights with less heat can you just put it on top or will that get too hot?

Hey Gary, I have a tip for you and your viewers. Check your Walmart garden sections now. I was just at mine, and they got their first shipment of 2019 supplies and organic fertilizers in, but still marked at the 2018 clearance prices! I just got $50 worth of assorted fertilizers (bone meal, slow release veggie, and water soluble veggie), enough for the whole season, for only $15! Definitely worth taking a look at.

Thanks for the video Gary. This is what I currently need. My broccoli seedlings are leggings and weak so I have to start over. My questions are: could I temporarily use regular household light? And where did you get those lights? Iโ€™m not very familiar with light types but I look on Loweโ€™s and home depot but couldnโ€™t find the exact match and prices that you listed there. You also mentioned that the 2100 lumen bulbs are ideal but hard to find, but do you have any idea where I could possibly find it? Thank you again and sorry for so many questions

Gary,…I was wondering. When growing Tomato's in containers. What is the minimum size of container I could use. I have three Tom's I have been growing since December and I want to transplant them into a bigger container soon. North

Thank you for this informative video. The only issue I have is won't the metal melt the plastic top? I have one of these lights for my chicks and it really gets hot. Or is it because of the bulb you use?

Hi Gary. Would there be any air circulation issues with having a fully enclosed grow box like this? Or are the holes in the top sufficient? Thanks for the video!

For those with Amazon, I recently purchased 4' LED shop lights in 6500K that work awesome. 6-pack for around $55 shipped. Super bright and low energy use, check them out!

I made 10 of the first ones you gave instructions on and I am still using them 5 years later— love them. I grow anywhere from 800 to 1000 seedlings a year in these

Home depot has a 3ft light and it's 40,00 looms for 14.50 each.I think I'm going to try this.
