Where can you buy mature trees? I live in Ohio but I'd love to give this a shot and be able to pass avocado around to neighbors!

Your claim that avocados and bananas don't ripen on the tree is very much incorrect. Check out the avocado and banana trees in Hawaii, you'll be surprise!

These foods will not only improved your health, it will also boost your immune system. It is important that everyone should know what they put through their mouth and Avocado is one of it. It is always fearful for not knowing what you eat and what will harm your body. https://youtu.be/Tuvtm1qWpMY

I'm in Northern california, I have a real bad time with ants, aphids and white flies. Any suggestions for and organic solution to this issue. Much thanks, I've just received a shipment of praying mantis eggs to see if they can stem the tide. I always enjoy your videos, keep them coming.

Hey, great videos keep up the good work man! Another way of plumping those avocados up is by feeding the roots molasses weeks before harvest. Apparently you can get a 30% increase in size. I'm to sure how accurate it is but I read about it in a gardening book so it might be legit. It might be a good idea to myth buster this theory.

And sometimes we don't get a frost till december. It's been warmer much later into fall over the last 10-15 years here in Chicago. Might only have to be inside for 4 months.

Can GEM avocado grow in Mendocino county? Right on the coast. 50“ of rain a year, 40-70 degrees temperature, with a few nights a year dipping below freezing.

Nice video, thanks for the advice; maybe i'll buy a grafted tree at some point. I've had some Florida avocado seeds already sprouting inside the fruit. I love that kind of life force. I planted one or two like that and they grow so fast and willingly – I like to see what happens. There is one that I started from a sprouting seed less than two years ago, which is already bigger than a variety I bought almost three years ago. I'm very curious how the fruit will come out. I've grafted some lemon trees, but I have half a dozen avos in my yard that grew from composted seeds! Too fun. I also have a mango growing from a seed which dropped from the mother tree.

Do you think I can grow a gem outdoors in Chicago and bring it in the house in the winter until there's no more chance of frost. Then put outside from May to October. Will it adjust to that kind of a move for the winter. Do you think it would not make it indoors for probably five months on a south facing window? I would love to try it. I would grow it in a very large pot with good organic compost.
