If I had land, I would grow these. Here's a great Korean remedy for colds: Brew hot water, ginger, and dried dates (cut in half) altogether for a couple hours. Best tea for colds.

im from the caribbean they grow wild here we call them pomme seratte here but i need to find the genus name for the common type here, we usually eat them when they are midway ripe since they dont last on the trees ( kid and birds) here i will have to grow one and try the dry method

i actually am growing a small forest of Juju
    i have 2 sherwoods, 3 Li and a coco
last year i had only got a handful of fruit from 1 tree
this year i am getting dozens, and the other small trees
are just starting to produce a few.
i would say in 3 years i will be getting over 1000 fruit.
    yes… twice a year !

i like these guys a lot
i didnt think i would, because i generally do not like apples
but they are sooo much better
they are not "woody" like an apple
and they are much sweeter with ,more flavor.

    good luck on you harvest.

I agree w you 100% that these fruits are so sweet, crunch and fresh tasting, I buy 3-4 lbs. each week when they are in season because the season is very short. I don't know why I've not planted one in my garden. What's the best time of the year to plant them? early spring?

    Hi Jake,
Do you know Chinese people use the inside part of the seed of Jujube fruits in some of their medicines? These trees grow in my country (Myanmar, used to call Burma), and our farmers trade dried jujube fruits to China from border… (with very cheap price, of course). Just sharing.

Hi Jake, what can wet tow here in Michigan?

    Betsy Oman

    (October 12, 2016 - 1:51 pm)

Haha. You can't figure out why everyone doesn't have a jujube tree. One reason is because they don't survive in growing zone 3–and I really feel safer with growing zone 2 items.

I found your channel from John Coler's channel. I am so happy to see your videos. I live in Israel where it is dry but not as hot as Phoenix. Seeing what you plant helps me to decide on what to grow. I have no land yet as I live in an apartment but I grow lots of food in buckets on my 4 window sills. I hope to move to a place where I can have a small garden one day but it will certainly be in the dry areas. I can't take the humidity along the coast. So thanks for your videos. I am not a fan of facebook and other media but I will go through your videos. Best of luck to you.
