I tried it when we were in Bangkok expecting something foul. It was really amazing, loved it. Purple is butterfly pea flowers simmered in water. We are going to grow them this summer.

Salak is very common here (Malaysia). I would describe it as less-aromatic crunchy jackfruit. and..don't forget to peel the thin film on it's flesh..they are slightly bitter & kinda spoil the taste ')

thai mongtong durians I find "so so" very fleshy some people like meatier thai durians but I find malaysian durians are the most flavorful but less meatier depends on what you like. The problem with eating durians is it's a heaty fruit and available only during hottest time of the year mangos are also quite heaty but for me I prefer mangosteens a "cooler" fruit and thailand produces the biggest crop in south east asia so it's really cheap during harvest and I will gorge everyday whenever I'm in LOS during the mangosteen season.
