Hi Jeff.  You never mention Alabama when you're talking about plants.  You do mention states which surround our state; Georgia, Florida, etc.  Will your guidance and advice work in our state as well?  Thank you for your videos which provide lots of information and guidance. Looking forward to many future learning situations.  Have a great day!

Black mulches contains known carcinogens, and you’re growing fruit above it.

Do you get a good amount of fruit from the dwarf fruit trees?

Great video.  You have given me some ideas of what to plant in my New Orleans orchard.  The  squirrels are a problem in my neighborhood too, Keep the videos comming

Another creative way to stop sharing (in previous years, 100% of our grapes!!) with the birds, was to buy the rubbery snakes from a $1-type store (you'll have to locate one) and simply place it on/within the vines. Works great!

The beautiful wildlife still gets their fair share of birdseeds and organically grown produce throughout the tall varieties on the property! 😀 ♡

People are suppose to plant extra, for the birds, the animals and the neighbors. Killing squirrels are so selfish, Stop dwarfing your trees and you'll have so much abundance you won't notice nature being nature. Never kill an animal because it's hungry, we have no issues with birds or pest because we provide seeds and water for the wildlife.

Jeff, I have experienced rodents in my back yard. My dog found and killed 2 rats! How  do we prevent them from eating our plants? After they ate my pumpkin, they ate the cantaloupe, then began eating my bell peppers and watermelon!!!!

Jeff, your fruit orchard is beautiful. I noticed that some of your fruit trees planted in the bed appear to be enclosed in a 2Xs square frame. How deep is your beddings. Do you start all your potted fruit trees with 20 gallon pots and if so, do you ever need to graduate to larger ones?

Nice use of the space. Thanks, you're helping me out with species that will potentially be good up here in Austin.

Hi Jeff! I'm curious where you order your grafted trees from? I am wanting to order a couple for my own backyard orchard.

Jeff, so glad to find your channel as I did not come across many Houstonian gardening ones! Where did you get the 3-in-1 fruit tree? I found two CA nurseries that have them but they can't sell to TX.

Great video! So fortunate to be in an area that you can grow both sub tropicals and cold tolerant trees like apples/plums as well! I grow citrus outside in the summer too, but here in Canada it has to go inside for almost 6 months a year.

I am new to gardening in the same area as yourself.  I noticed in your container fruit trees you have a water botter stuck in to the containers.  What is the purpose?  Thanks

Jeff, your home orchard is amazing! I seriously am so envious of your trees, I am kicking myself for not starting them like 5 years ago… now I have to wait 3 years at least just to get some fruit!

I'm in zone 8b, too, but our growing conditions are SO different! I'm in Oregon's Willamette Valley. We have lots of chilling hours for apple trees and grapes grow like gangbusters! But our birds and squirrels are similarly nefarious! : )   Nice to see your trees and vines. Fruits provide such great return for the space and effort!

Great looking backyard and gorgeous fruit tress Jeff. Squirrels, I won't tell you what I'm doing with them, but they won't be on earth to much longer. lol. they sure are a nuisance huh? @Jeff Bernhard  I use that exact catch and release program.

Jeff I love your orchard ! Mine is coming along as well just with more cold hardy varieties !
