That looks great! I could never be able to do this. I sure wish I had a handy dandy guy to do a border of some kind for me. Im not sure I like the rocks on top. I might have turned the brick to the flat side to finish it off. Or buy bricks with out the holes.

Didn't you need to dig a footing below the frost line for the wall

Did you use the same stuff to lay the base for the bricks as well as stick them together?

I like the looks of the rocks! What a great way to use something that would otherwise just get moved or dumped somewhere:) I can see how they might not be for everyone, but it adds a neat little bit of detail. Looks great!

good video but for the beginner you didn't include the most important steps digging your foundation and pouring the concrete for the base.

Sorry but the stones look horrendous! Reminds me of when people cement glass to stop thieves entering! A nice coping stone would've surely looked a lot nicer! Personal taste though I guess… Oh and the wife wanted it haha good one

Being a mason, I don't mind the stone on top… Its unique. Maybe "grouting" the stone with additional mortar in between the rock joints would make it look less like an on the spot decision. I'm more concerned that the overall structure will fail. Brick mortar on unpacked, organic soil has no support. I recommend to clients that cant afford to have a proper foundation, (An actual footing with 2500 PSI concrete) put ladder wire in the first layer of mortar bed. Mortar, on average, has 1/10 the life span of concrete and 1/4 the compressive strength. The wire provides the proper tensile strength to prevent cracks. I use "Dura-Wire." To all his own.

I'm a woman and think those rocks look horrible! Simple and classic looks are always best. The rocks made your beautiful wall look junky.

Yes, the bricks look really nice but the rocks look really bad on it, especially being the kind and color they are.

Better at picking up stones and rocks. His cinematography efforts made me dizzy and nauseous and provided almost no information. A for effort, D for results.
