I find hot summers to be worse with this. I set up a drip hose and turn it on to a nice trickle and leave it. The SE and SW sides are far behind the north sides.

Strawberries don't have deep roots, but this is plenty deep, the whole thing is filled with dirt, it takes a lot of wheelbarrows to fill it. Strawberries must be able to freeze solid and come back, we have real winters here and mine always come back.

I was going to start sending grapes to the mission but squirrels have decided they deserve them more than homeless people.

Nice! I got 17 trees in a very small area too. I keep prunning and ensuring they all get sun light. We give away soo much fruit because they all produce a lot. This is in Southern California. I am about to plant a pear tree in a few minutes.

Thanks, I will. And you're an urban gardener at that! Hats off to you.

Fairly low maintenance and taste a lot better than anything you buy in a store. Although I don't like most fruit fresh and those I do need to be chilled. The plums produced this year and they're something I like fresh. The last time I bought plums they tasted like nothing but water, mine were good.

Good video! I grow fruit trees as well and I think every yard should have them since they're practically maintenance free once you get them rooted properly. I grew up on a slightly bigger than average property with about 30 fruit trees/bushes and loved it. When I was a kid and wanted a snack in the summer my parents just told me to go outside and pick myself a snack.

Yes. If you search "strawberry tower plans" you'll find a places and books selling plans and pre-cut kits. Or if you wait I'm planning on making another this year. I'll probably be making a video showing how to make/design your own with a compound miter saw. It's roof/rafter angles so the lines on the saw help you along. If you understand geometry (which I'm not good at) it would really be easy.

I love your strawberry pyramid. Did you build this yourself?

I have no use for it anymore. Opium poppy is better for in town. Everyone thinks you're growing big flowers and it doesn't put off an obvious smell.

@BlueFlamingoVlogs I don't think I did. If I did it wouldn't look like this. When I first planted trees I was film and didn't take many pics. After digital, organic wasn't working, I lost interest and didn't take many. I've only been spraying a few years, got interested because I was actually getting fruit, planted more to replace the dead and started taking a lot of pictures of the plantings.
Maybe different components have been posted through the years that you recognize.

Did you post photos of your backyard somewhere once? Maybe on Craig's board or something? It's pretty much how I pictured it somehow. And speaking of that, things are finally settling down with the job hunting, so hopefully I can make it to Craig's board soon.
