Lovely garden. I had a big set back this year. Hurricane Irma destroyed a lot of my fruit trees and now I'm rebuilding my home but i cannot wait to start replanting.

Canna lilly rhizomes are edible and I think that someone could get the wrong idea from the way you guys talked about Castor Bean and accidentally kill themselves(you might want to add a warning about its toxicity).

Do you guys have issues with gophers or ground squirels and burrowing veggie & fruit loving critters? I'm in southern Calif in Riverside County at about 2K feet elevation and am constantly battling burrowing animals that eat our plants and roots. We have taken to planting with "cages" (chicken wire or cloth) around them to keep them out but sometimes they still burrow under. Any advice besides killing them? I would like to not have to trap or kill any animals. thanks!

Not all fig trees give a brebos fruiting. Only very specific varieties. What is sad is that this man thinks the figs he named are the best when, ironically, those are the figs at the bottom of most people's lists. But it all comes back to what we, as individuals like personally.
