Our lemon tree is not producing fruit, just leaves. Not sure what we’re doing wrong. Lots of sun, good soil, recently pruned. Haven’t mulched yet this season, but we will ASAP. Only thing I can think of is the tree is only about 2 years old.

what do you do if you live in the arid desert of California? Our temperatures can get from 120 ° degrees down to 19 ° degrees, even down to 13° degrees.ive had trouble growing pineapples. either because of poor clay soil ( I've amended like crazy and covered in winter before 30 °) or red stinging ants. I might have to grow indoors.

I mulch but then leave circle space around the tree itself, looking at yours I shall no longer. More of a dwarf tree grower, have 5 lemons and 5 limes. They grow better in pots I've found.

Love lemons, more so than oranges. Oranges are a good source of Vitamin C. However, lemons are a close second! I advocate growing citrus for those of us who are able. Always helpful to have Vitamin C on hand to help manage cold or flu symptoms. I freeze my lemon juice so I will have some on hand long after the fruit is gone. Thanks for the 5 big tips for growing a ton of lemons!

#6 Keep a sharp pair of nippers around to snip off those nasty long thorns that are really eye threats. Snip them when the branch is green and they are easy to cut off. Wait till they are large and woody and you can use them as nails.

I heard somewhere when you plant the tree you need to break all the flowers off so all the energy goes in the roots is it true you do it just once when planting it in the ground??

Wish I had bought a Meyer lemon tree, instead got 2 Eurekas. These Eurekas are very difficult to grow in Florida, too humid maybe? Had nothing but bug problems and no fruit. Done everything to help them.

Lemon trees are so hardy !?!???!!!!! maybe it's the difference between here, Portugal and where you are but lemon trees here are renowned for needing cover and special care to keep off frost for the first, say, 2 years at least after they are planted. I've been negligent and I'm about to plant my 3rd? I think. I'lll try to care for this one properly….
